We enjoyed a wonderful tea party today. My mom treated Jandi, Jaime, Katie, Kylie and I to the annual luncheon held by the Orem Womens Club. This year it was a tea party and entertainment by Heartbound. The herb tea was "ok" and the crumpets were good. Followed by a great lunch and dessert. Then came the best part-a program by the group-Heartbound. They were amazing. They write a lot of their own songs to "give hope for the heart, and spread joy for the journey". They told great stories and sang songs with great messages. Of course we had to buy a couple of their CD's and listened to "Chasing Dreams" on the way home. It was great. (heartboundmusic.com)
Thanks mom for a wonderful afternoon!

So for Spring Break/Easter weekend we had planned on going to St George for some sun.
But we did not get reservations because we were too busy with Hawaii so we stayed home.
Thursday Kylie, Jasmine, Dave & I saw Horton Hears a Who. Besides one crazy, weird part it was great but I thought-Sydney should be here watching it too.
Friday Kylie, Jaime, Syd, Grady & I went shopping for Jaime's birthday and so Kylie could use her gift cards FINALLY that she got for Christmas. It was lots of fun. The kids were good except that Syd always finds a dress that she HAS to have and holds on to it till you buy it. She won't let you talk her into something else or a different dress. I thought that it was ugly but when she got it home and put it on it actually was cute! Go Syd-you know how to pick them. Kylie treated Syd to a carousel ride. That night the family all came and the boys played basketball while the rest of us colored easter eggs.
Saturday we had a BBQ and the family came over to play basketball again.
Sunday the kids came over after church for easter dinner. Mom and Dad also got to come and it was nice to spend time with them. We had an Easter egg hunt for Syd. The eggs had toys rather than candy. The first egg she opened had a mushy bug-she tried to eat it. The next egg she opened had a bubble ring-she licked it thinking it was a sucker! In the end, she didn't seem too upset that none of it was candy.
